Statement : NPP Women’s Wing Maidens (WWM) Elects New President

NPP women’s wing maidens (WWM) which is an initiative of the National women’s wing of the party with one of it primary objectives being a transition for former Tescon wocoms from our various Tertiary institutions with Tescon chapters .

The position of the National president who doubles as National Coordinator has been vacant for a while. So _Women’s Wing Maidens (WWM)_ went to the polls on 3rd June 2020 and *Miss Portia Adjoa Ampofowaa Attafuah* emerged the winner as the National President of the Group.

Miss Portia Ajoa Ampofoh Attafuah holds a BSc in Nursing and has quite a great amount of political experience up her sleeves. She started as a Tescon Research officer on her campus and rose to become Deputy Women’s Commissioner and before leaving campus, the main women’s commissioner for Garden City University in Ashanti region.

She became the first Welfare director of WWM at the inception of the group and later became Head of Operations for Middle Belt (Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Eastern Regions), a position she held till this day. Her her dedication and commitment over the years towards the party in Ashanti region and beyond is immeasurable.

It is with a happy heart that we announce to you that the honour fell on Miss Attafuah who has been a committed, consistent and hardworking member of the leadership since its inception. Her enthusiasm towards any task given her is unprecedented.

We humbly inform all Regional, Constituency Coordinators and other women volunteer groups that effective from Monday 29th June 2020, *Miss Adjoa Ampofowaa Attafuah* has assumed the position of National President of *NPP Women’s Wing Maidens (WWM)*.

The patrons and advisors entreat everyone to rally behind Miss Attafuah with utmost love and dedication just like we worked with the previous leader to make WWM great.
