I remember Germany 2006, South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014 when the country was polarized with politics the only thing that could bring us together was football, Our black stars, the shinning stars of Africa.
Under Prez Mills Ghana football reached it’s peak despite it’s numerous challenges.
Under JM despite the Brazil fiasco which I believe was orchestrated from within the NDC by some selfish elements just for their selfish gains, we did well by first qualifying and even made some gains at the initial stage.
I was shocked to my bones when politics started directing the way forward for our football.
This started with the secret campaign meetings Asamoah Gyan had with the Npp and it’s flag bearer Nana Addo.
It was all over the news though (Not confirmed) that the captain of the black stars sponsored some NPP Members of Parliament in Ashanti Region in the 2016 elections.
Since I heard that news I lost respect for the captain of the stars not because am NDC but because Asamoah Gyan had turned Ghana football in political debate ground.
Just this year in Gabon we all heard and saw what happened in the camp of the black stars…pure division.
The camp was divided into Asamoah Gyan and Dede’s camp which was later interpreted NDC and NPP camps.
For the first time in the history of our country JM had to call on Ghanaians to put our differences behind and support the black stars..This was something that never happened before.
As if that wasn’t enough, Sammy Awuku waded into the football debate and made it clear to Ghanaians that it is only NPP supporters who will be flown to Russia for the world cup while we had not even qualified….hehee that’s a typical Npp man for you.
The NPP think they know better than even God who created them.
Where is the faith of all those who were promised Russian visas by the NPP youth organizers in their constituencies?
The Npp campaign in 2016 was to verbally destroy all state institutions in the country by tagging them to be corrupt in the eyes of Ghanaians to pave way for them to win power.
And they succeeded big time, but they forgot the institutions they verbally destroyed were thesame institutions they will be working with.
They forgot the old adage what goes around will definitely come around….Now they are faced with the reality on the ground.
God is not NPP and he will never be.
The toxic change is manifesting in all sectors since the NPP took over power.
Ghana is bleeding and am not surprised so soon Ghanaians are calling for the change to be changed.
But it’s just a matter of time.
Together we can rescue Ghana from it’s current politicised state to a Ghana we all wished for.
Welcome home Asamoah Gyan and Ghana Black Stars. Home sweet home.
Please I beg consider my age and overlook my writing mistakes if any?.
