There is too much Politics in FIPAG-PRO

The Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) has said that some people in the Association and other influential people are bent on sabotaging the current leadership’s intended plans to revive the industry from the abyss.

A discussion on issues affecting the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) on Ashh FM’s Entertainment Zone last Sunday did not end without the Public Relations and Welfare Officer of FIPAG Rosaline Osei (Nana Yaa) accusing some elements in the industry of sabotaging their administration.

A Film Director cum Critic, Isaac Rockson has been calling for immediate impeachment of the current leadership of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG).

According to him, the current leadership (FIPAG) has totally failed members who voted them into office. Adding that, it was a mistake for the members of the association to vote in Idikoko and his executives to mess things up.

But reacting to these attacks, Nana Yaa described Rockson as nonentity in the industry and no one should accord him that credit. ‘’ He claimed to be a film director but we are yet to see one movie he has directed. ‘’

According to her, elements within the association are masterminding the numerous attacks against their leadership. ‘’There are too much politics in FIPAG which we never knew of until we were voted into office‘’.

She said FIPAG is gradually outlining policies that are going to revive the film production and assured members to exercise restraint.
