MP for Atwima Kwanwoma donates to Muslims community in his constituency

The Member of Parliament (MP), for the Atwima Kwanwoma constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon Kofi Amankwaa Manu has donated some items to the Muslim communities within the area.

The Defence mister nominee made the donation on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

The items donated included 100 bags of rice, 60 bags of sugar, boxes of cooking oil, and cartons of milk, among other things.

According to the Atwima Kwanwoma lawmaker, the gesture is to aid in the successful completion of the holy month.

After appreciated them for their usual cooperation, support and prayers for him and the constituency, he thus charged them to pray for unity, love, and peace for the country.

He further appealed to the Muslim communities to train the youth to channel their energies into community development activities.

Mr Gabril Abdul Hamid, the secretary of the muslim community who couldn’t hide his joy when receiving the donation on behalf of the district expressed his proud gratitude to the deputy defence minister designate for his benevolence.

Mr Abdul Hamid lamented the neglect of the district in the selection of Islamic teachers. Hence, entreated the government to assist the muslim community in the area to get their share of the teachers.
