Man dies after stealing family god

Forty one year old Kenneth Boah has been stroked to death by a family god he stole from his late grandfather.

He died after battling strange diseases for a period of time and all efforts to seek medical attention proved futile.

Kenneth Boah, the deceased, 41 and married with three kids had stolen, ‘Tanokwasi’ the god of the people of Ahenkro near Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua district in the Ashanti region of when giving to him for safe keeping.

Narrating her ordeal  to, Maame Ama Mmre  made known the late grandfather of the deceased was given the god which contained precious minerals weighing about 70.2 kilograms for spiritual purification.

The deceased however connived with his friend, Yaw Tawiah to steal the god from the shrine after the death of his grandfather thirty five years ago.

He later reported to the owners of the god that it had been stolen by unknown people

According to the mother, he was later sent to a prayer camp where it was revealed  and he confessed stealing gods when the Prophet made it known he has engaged in that act .

She said, Kenneth on his dying bed indicated that, Mr. Yaw Tawiah lured him to steal the god because they perceived is a gold ornaments and gave it to him for safe keeping.
