Kate Gyamfua commiserate with Kotoko

On Wednesday, July 12, we heard of a very sad news involving some management members and players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club when the car in which they were travelling in after a midweek encounter with Inter Allies FC at Accra got involved in an accident.

It is indeed a trying time for sports and the Ghanaian community at large.

It is with this reason that I write to commiserate with the team for what happened.

I wish all the players and most especially Coach Steve Pollack a speedy recovery.

To the Assistant Equipment Director who unfortunately lost his life, I express my profound condolences to the bereaved family.

It is my prayer that God Almighty be their help in this trying times.

Report suggests that the Kotoko Car bumped into a stationary vehicle.
It has not been long since the former Member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency late Hon. Dr. Kofi Asare unfortunately lost his life in a similar manner.

I think the time has come for us as a country to find a lasting solution to stationed vehicles on our roads which have become death holes.
