GTUC SRC Prez Breaks Ground for the construction of a 5 aside artificial football pitch

The Students Representative Council(SRC) of the Ghana Technology University College and Collaboration with the Acting President of the Institute has cut the sod for the construction of a 5 aside Artificial Football Pitch for the University.

The Project which is fully funded by the endowment funds from the Students Representative Council(SRC) of the University will cost an amount of 250,000 Ghana cedis when fully completed in the next three months.

 During the sod-cutting ceremony at the school premises in Accra, Prof. Emmanuel ohene Afoakwa said, the Project will help the students and staff of the institution to have more involvement in fun games after a long day of lectures.

He said there will be a volleyball pitch and Basketball ball pitch when the project is completed by the end of the year.


The President of Students Representative Council(SRC)of the Ghana Technology University College, (GTUC) Miss Pamela Aboagyewaa Mantey on her part added that,she  thanked the Management of the University and Members of the SRC for pushing this agenda since they have waited for the past ten years to get this kind of project in the school. The contract was signed on the 2nd October, 2019 and the sod cutting took place on the Monday, 7th October, 2019.


She said the Student Representative Council(SRC )will make sure everything concerning the maintenance of the project will be kept well.
