The former MD of BOST Mr Alfred Obeng had denied such social media circulation that he was jubilating over the removal of his former boss Mr Boakye Agyarko as the Energy Minister. According to the interview with *Brytfmonline.com* he said such comments that Mr Boakye Agyarko and his board chairman masterminded his removal from BOST did not come from him personally but it might have come from some of his aggrieved supporters because some of the inscriptions on the placards point to that direction.
He also added that during his first homecoming that began from Friday, 10/8/2018 to Sunday, 12/8/2018 he himself never mentioned his two former bosses names during his interaction with the crowd and Nananom but the thousands of people who came from the community to give him a rousing welcome were also angry about the numerous attacks on him during his 18 months in office and how he was removed, hence he would not be surprised if any of them passed such comments.
Similarly he told *Brytfmonline* that he never questioned the President appointment’s criteria but rather commenting on the low inclusion of the people from Sefwi and Western Region as a whole in the government which he attributed partly to the facts that most of his people do not involve themselves in active politics. He further explained his point using Volta region as an example of one of the regions that more people do active politics and therefore despite the fact that NPP party did not get more votes from there, comparably they got more appointees. On the same point he encouraged his people from the community and the Western region at large to do more active politics because in Ghana development, even employment is government centred so every community or region without having more of his people in government lacks development both in infrastructure and humanity.
During a phone interview on Sunday 12th August, 2018, the former MD emphatically stated he never pint point former Energy minister, Mr Boakye Agyarko of masterminding his sack whiles he did not and would never question the criteria of the President’s appointments.
He pledged he will also not do anything to undermine the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in any way. He reiterated that even at the challenging moment he wrote a letter to express his gratitude and appreciation to the President
Mr. Alfred Obeng added he will not allow what had happened at BOST to have any negative impact on his vision to help develop the community just as Nananom has advised him and therefore called on all party members and supporters in the community to support him in his endeavor to contribute his quota to the development of the community.
Meanwhile, he has assured his continuous support to the creation of the proposed Western North region to ensure the development of the area.
