The Eastern Regional Police Commander, DCOP Simon Yaw Afeku has hailed the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency , Hon. Bryan Acheampong for supporting the Kwahu East District Police command.
“We want people who are committed to support the police so that together we tighten security in Kwahu. The police is facing a number of issues and transport issues are common. Sometimes we’re accused of arriving late at crime scenes[ but] the government alone can’t solve all the problems. With this vehicle we hope security will improve in this area, He said.”
The MP who doubles as Minister of State in charge of National Security, Mr. Bryan Acheampong on Thursday, October 26, presented a brand new Nissan Navara pick-up to the Kwahu East District police command to protect lives and properties of residents in the community and its surroundings.
This is the MP’s personal contribution to the effective and efficient running of the station towards providing the much needed security for the communities in the area
Hon. Bryan Acheampong pledged his full support to the Ghana Police Service to ward off crime, especially armed robbery and related offences in their operational area to boost socio-economic activities of the people.
This, he said, is a way of helping the police to establish strong presence in the communities to fight crime.
Present at the ceremony were chiefs and people of the Kwahu Traditional Council, Government appointees, among others.
