My earnings at Hearts wasn’t enough to build a house but with Kotoko I built and got more properties – Charles Taylor

Former Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko player Charles Taylor has said he was able to significantly acquire well a wealth during his days with Asante Kotoko throughout his entire football career.

The ex footballer disclosed though prior to his famous move to Asante Kotoko, he had then been earning appreciatively well at Hearts of Oak but it was his spell at the Kumasi based football club where he acquired a whole lot.

Taylor in an interview with Accra based radio station, Asempa FM was gratified by the benevolence of the Asante Kotoko fraternity revealing the kindness which was shown him by the club’s management and supporters aided him to acquire good.

“I never used my salary as a kotoko player. I was well taken care of,Kotoko helped me to acquire properties for my future.

Charles Taylor crossing carpet from a rival club Hearts of Oak to Asante Kotoko remains one the biggest transfers engulfed with controversy in the history of Ghana football.

Taylor joined Asante Kotoko in the 2003/4 to 2008 which he virtually won almost every domestic trophy with the porcupines but failed to clinch the African club confederation honor which has eluded Kotoko for long. It was Hearts of oak which however beat Kotoko to it when he joined Asante Kotoko.
