Corpse of demise Asante Kotoko official arrives in Kumasi

The mortal remains of Deputy Equipment Officer, of the Porcupine Warriors, Thomasi Kofi Asare on Friday July 14, 2017 was taken to Kumasi for preservation pending funeral arrangements by the bereaved family.

The body it has been confirmed, is currently at the Komfo Ankoye Teaching Hospital morgue after management of the team arranged with the family to convey it from the Holy Family Hospital morgue at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region where the accident happened.

The Management of Asante Kotoko Football Club, on Thursday July 13, 2017 met with the family of Thomas Kofi Asare and informed them of his demise

Mr Thomas Kofi Asare was confirmed dead following Wednesday’s accident at Nantia on Nkawkaw new road in the Eastern Region.

The Porcupine Warriors had been dealt a huge blow after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Inter Allies in the league and it turned worse after the bus heading to Kumasi from Accra encountered the unfortunate incident.

Almost players and management members on board the Yuntong suffered injuries as result and were rushed to the Holy Family Hospital for treatment.

Most of them were referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where they have been treated and discharged except three including the Head Coach Steve Polack who underwent a surgery on Friday
