The Ghana Football Association has received medical report from Olympique Marseille concerning an injury to Black Stars midfielder Andre Ayew.
“According to the medical report, Ayew suffered an hamstring injury while training with the club in France this week,” a statement from the FA said.
The FA has since sent a message to Andre wishing him a speedy recovery.
As the Black Stars will start camping for the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday, the stipulated FIFA deadline for the release of players for the tournament, the GFA has asked Marseille to release the player for examination by the Ghana medical team.
“The GFA will provide Ayew with the best medical care in Abu Dhabi to ensure his speedy recovery”.
