Ashanti Region: Ama Pomaa Foundation Launched

Honorable Ama Pomaa Boateng, member of parliament for Juaben Constituency in the Ejisu/Juaben Municipality in the Ashanti Region has launched her foundation which is aimed at supporting the youth within her constituency to acquire proficiency and skill training, and to support students in tertiary education.

In an interview with the media, she expressed her desire to help curb the rise in unemployment among the Youth in her constituency. She said His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo led government has a masterplan for the Youth to tackle the issue of unemployment hence the introduction of policies like one District one factory, planting for food and jobs, free SHS, among others. She urged the Youth to exercise patience since government is committed to help the Youth through diverse ways.

Hon Ama Pomaa Boateng said, in her fifth year as member of parliament for the people of Juaben constituency, she has contributed her quota in several areas like health, education, infrastructure, etc and will not relent on her efforts to continue helping them because she is committed to serve her constituents.

She said education is the the master key to nation building because it is aimed at developing human resource, hence her decision to help students in the tertiary education which she has been doing over the years as member of parliament for Juaben Constituency.

She was doing it for both students in the senior high schools and tertiary institutions but with the introduction of the free SHS which will be fully rolled out to cover every student in SHS in the next two years, hence her vision to help them after completing SHS and getting admission to universities, nursing and colleges of Education.

She appealed to the Youth to avail themselves for proficiency and skill training because education is the not the only means for living. She is prepared and has created the opportunity for all to be trained in any skill without any limitations or restrictions so that all can survive based on the knowledge and skill that he or she has acquired.

She admonished the first batch of the participants to put the training they have acquired to good use so that it can motivate and encourage others to do same, but appealed to those who have not had the chance to wait because she will reach out to them in the proficiency or skill of interest.
