The Chief Executive Officer of Asadu Royal and Waste Management, Edward Asadu has advised Ghanaian youth to be diligent and desist from laziness which breeds poverty and corruption.
He indicated that today’s youth aspire for greater heights within a twinkle of an eye and hence their instant quest for greater gains overnights. He added that success comes after hard work, perseverance and determination over time . The instantaneous desire to amass wealth often leads to unscrupulous acts like theft, robbery, ‘sakawa’, money laundering, juju and occultism among others .
He further admonished the youth to see well-to-do member of the society as a motivation to encourage them to work harder but not to see them as hindrance to commitment to duties.
He made this remarks during the 3rd edition of the Lifetime In a Portrait Awards program organised by the Initiators Of Change Foundation at the Bonguet Hall, State House in Accra. The awards program dubbed “Entrepreneurship – a key to wealth and job creation” seeks to acknowledge and honor some prominent Ghanaians who have helped contributed immensely in the lives of most Ghanaians and the nation at large.
Some enterprising Ghanaian businessmen who benefited from the awards included Mr. Edward Asadu, Dr Kwabena Duffour, Mr Stephen Kwabena Boateng(Kessben), Dr Papa Kwasi Ndum among several others .
Speaking at the awards program Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Awal the Minister for Private Sector and Business Development congratulated the awards deserving Ghanaians and pledged government readiness to partner them for nations building. He further encouraged them to support the government by helping to provide jobs among Ghanaians .
Speaking to the media, Mr Asadu added his plans to help ensure a clean environment by strengthening his effort in his sanitation business.
