“You are a Great Assert To Ghana”- Offinsohene to Deputy Local Government Minister

The paramount chief of the offinso traditional council and the Omanhene for offinso,Nana Wiafe Akenten III has hailed the Mp for Offinso North and Deputy local Government Minister, for his commitment and great achievement to the offinso traditional area.

Nana Wiafe Akenten said the Hon Collins Ntim is a great assert and a strong pillar to the developmental agenda of offinso and the nation at large which cannot be overlooked.

Assigning reasons,Nana wiafe Akenteng said,the Hon Collins Ntim,began the nursing and distributing of free citrus,cocoa and,oilpalm seedlings as far back as 2005 when he was Municipal chief executive for offinso.

He believes this singular act by the hon Collins Ntim has contributed today to the success and development of offinso as farmers are riping the fruits thereof.

He continued that the hon Collins Ntim has again singularly built a secondary school in his (Offinsohene) honour (Wiafe Akenten Presby Shs) at Akomadan,this he said was than when he (Collins Ntim)was in opposition,exibiting his level of premium attached to education.

Nana Wiafe Akenten recounts them as good legacies that will not be expunged from the annals of offinso,under or after his reign as Offinsomanhene.

He admonished his chiefs and the clegy to continually pray for the deputy minister for strength and longlife, to enable him continue his good work.

The chief made these assertions when he celebrated his 25th Anniversary as omanhene and the launch of the 8th edition of “Mmoaninko” festival.

“Mmoaninko” is an annual festival celebrated by the people of offinso and draws people from all walks of life,far and near, to raise funds for the development of offinsoman.

Speaking as the special guest of honour for the event,the deputy local government minister hon Collins Ntim,hailed the omanhene for his dedication and strong will.

He said Nana Wiafe Akenten III is one of the few chiefs in the country who has decreed and ensured that no form of illegal mining is allowed in the offinso traditional area.

Hon Collins Ntim deemed it prudent and appropriate to congratulate the offinso manhene on an occasion like this,since its in tandem with his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’ vision to protect our environment,hence ban on illegal mining.

He eulogiesed the Offinsomanhene Nana Wiafe Akenten as been selfless,dedicated dynamic,good mediator at resolving chieftaincy disputes and litigations and an advisor,who’s advices have brought him(Collins Ntim)to this height.

Hon Collins Ntim in condition outlined governments policies and program been undertaken by the npp administration.

One of such is the planting for export and rural development which is a decentralized national tree crop programme aided at alleviating rural poverty,through the distribution of free cash crop to farmers, i.e, cahew,Citrus,Mango,coconut,Shea,Coffee,Cocoa, by assemblies.

He admonished all present to take advantage of the policy where ever they find themselves,since its the only way by which the rural economy will prop up,thereby empowering and sustaining our rural farmers.
