The Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, will deliver the 2nd Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) 70th Anniversary Public Lecture on Thursday, October 3, 2019.
He will speak on the topic: “Is the media under siege?”
The public lecture is scheduled to take place at 9:30am at the Ghana International Press Centre (GIPC)
It is the second in the series of public lectures planned by the GJA to discuss pertinent issues in the media landscape in commemoration of its Platinum Anniversary.
The National Executive of the GJA invites media practitioners, academics, politicians, civil society activists, students and representatives of international partners of the GJA.
The public lecture will be chaired by Prof Audrey Gadzekpo, the Dean of the School of Information and Communication Studies of the University of Ghana.
Mr Boadu-Ayeboafoh has a wealth of experience in media practice, management and education, which he is expected to explore to give the topic a perfect touch.
The speaker is also a former Executive Secretary of the NMC, former Director of Newspaper at the Graphic Communications Group Limited and former Vice President of the GJA.
