Spanish side Deportivo Alavés have signed midfielder Mubarak Wakaso on a free transfer.
The Ghanaian international terminated his contract with Greek giants Panathinaikos last week.
On Monday, Wakaso was announced to have penned a three-year deal with the Vitoria-Gasteiz-based La Liga side after passing his medical.
Alavés becomes Wakaso’s sixth Spanish club after Elche, Villarreal, Espanyol, Las Palmas and Granada. It is also his ninth club in Europe since leaving Ghana’s AshantiGold in 2008.
Wakaso becomes the eighth player after Duarte, Hector, Enzo Zidane, Pedraza, Sobrino, Maripán and Burgui added to the set-up of Deportivo Alavés this summer.
The 26-year-old, according to reports, rejected two offers from Turkey, a Russian club, Maccabi Tel Aviv as well as Getafe.
