WAFA & Aduana Miss Key Players For GHPL As Kwasi Appiah Insist He Won’t Release Their Players

Head coach of the Ghana senior national football team Kwasi invited two local players among the 24 man squad preparing to face Congo in the Russia 2018 qualifier game on Friday.

Gideon Waja who plays for WAFA and Aduana FC’s first choice Keeper Joseph Addo will miss the match day 26 of the Ghana premier league for their clubs on Wednesday as the head coach of the Black Stars is firm on his decision not release any player before the all important game with Congo in Kumasi’s Baba Yara stadium.

Management of WAFA had earlier communicated to the Black Stars technical department for the release of their key man for their Wednesday encounter with Great Olympics but had their request turned down though they had planned to fly Waja back in Kumasi after the game on Wednesday.

Aduana and WAFA are the main competitors to win the 2016/17 Ghana
premier league with Aduana currently leading the log with 47 points
and WAFA having 46 points at second position.

Aduana have a much crucial encounter away with Accra Hearts of Oak who
occupies the 3rd position on the league table.
