The United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has collaborated with the Ghanaian singer to help to tackle issues that border around child poverty.
In a post on Twitter, UNICEF announced that they are collaborating with the award winning songstress in this awesome move.
‘This week, we partner the famous @beccafrica, to highlight issues affecting children. Join in! #fightchildpovertygh”.
According to the 2014 UNICEF report on child poverty, the child poverty rate was predicted to be rising in 2013.
The report also stated that levels of ‘relative’ and ‘absolute’ child poverty are expected to reach 24% and 23% respectively by 2020/21 – compared to the target figures of 10% and 5%.
