One of Ghana’s hardworking movie producers is undoubtedly, Tracey Boakye. The young Ghanaian filmmaker who started as an actress about 8 years ago has over the years produced over 10 feature movies under her own production house, Shakira Movie Production.
On Monday, June 10, Tracey successfully launched his 14th movie project, titled ‘Baby Mama’ at her plush Bar and Lounge, Shortcode, in Kumasi. According to ‘The Devil Between My Legs’ actress this new film is going to be different from other movies she has worked on partly due to the cast and director enlisted for the project.
Tracey who was all elated during the launch told press men present that though the Ghanaian movie industry is a bit down she is not afraid to take the needed risk to produce a world-class movie for her fans.
Tracey used the opportunity and announced the cast for the movie and also thanked the companies that sponsored the movie project. The main sponsors include Adonko Bitters and Cone Professional Make-Up.
The press launch was attended by some of the big names in the industry including Kofi Adjorlolo, Kalybos, Kojo Nkansah Lilwin, Bill Asamoah, Rosemond Brown, Xandy Kamel, Yaa Jackson and Too Much of Janka Town Fame.
Tracey Boakye who was tight-lipped about the budget of the new project told the media team that the movie would be premiered in almost every region in Ghana after its completed. The director for ‘Baby Mama’ is renowned veteran director, Jackson K. Bentum.
