A twice elected and the current Greater Accra Women’ Organiser Hon. Joyce Zempare who is a National Women’s Organiser hopeful on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (the NPP) seems to be enjoying growing support from key stakeholders including Party Executives, various Women Goups, Professional and networking groups etc… within the Party. However, one formidable group that Hon. Zempare seems to be enjoying their support is the TESCON- the Tertiary Youth Wing of the Party. This was very glare and and widely demonstrated at the Party’s just ended Extraordinary Delegates Conferences held in Kumasi on the 17th December, 2017.
Information gathered from members of the group-both current and past-explains that Hon Zempare seems to have what it takes to be the next leader to step in the hot shoes of Hon. Otiko Dzaba. She is easily identified with the Party rank and file at all levels. She has due to exceptional communication skills and ability to speak different local languages including Twi, Fante, Ga, Krobo, Ewe, Kasin/Grusie etc….Besides these political assets, according to members, Hon. Zempare is well abreast with modern politics and can easily espouse both government and party policies to the electorates.
In fact, after meeting with Hon. Zempare our impression about her totally changed. She is very affable, frank and most importantly, on top of her work. She is also firm and assertive and sounds very decisive. She is in full control of her work. We are touched by her constant stance and advocacy for Leadership and Political Empowerment of women. Looking at the political terrain and dynamism, we believe Hon. Zempare is an all rounded political leader who is better fit for the position of the next National Women Organiser. Nana Adjoa, a TESCONITE asserted.
Even though the Party is yet to officially opened nominations for the various positions, many interested candidates and their supporters are campaigning to sell themselves to the delegates for consideration. The National Women’s Organizer position is one of the keenly contested races and many political pundits within the NPP believe the next leader should be the one who can bring high levels of dynamism and vibrancy supported with political intelligence require to occupy such a sensitive and strategic position in the Party. A mistake the Party cannot afford. Thus, a major reason why TESCONITES are supporting Hon. Zempare.
