TESCON deserve beyond verbal appreciation – Registrar of Scholarship Secretariat

Mr Kingsley Agyemang ,the registrar to the scholarship secretariat of Ghana has applauded the contributions of Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) both past and present members for the voluntary services toward the development of the New Patriotic Party .

The Registrar was delivering a speech at a program organised by Tescon University of Education Winneba Kumasi campus on the the topic ” Sustaining Tescon; time for strategic thinking and intervention ”

Delivering the speech , he advised the students to continue to sow their seed of loyalty and support the New Patriotic Party and by extension , the Danquah- Dombo – Busia tradition.

He lauded Tescon for given the NPP a strong and assured political base in our tertiary institutions . He said ” an analysis of election results from campuses of tertiary institutions in virtually all elections held in the 4th republic clearly attest to the fact that Tescon has given the party a strong and assured political base in our tertiary institutions . In both victory and defeat ,Tescon has stood behind the NPP in the firm conviction that the party offers best option for accelerated and sustainable development of our country. Let me use this privileged platform to therefore salute all Tescon members past and present for the voluntary sacrifices made even in the face of strong adversity and danger to their future careers ” .

He continued ” Mr chairman , that said ,the time has come to go beyond the expression of verbal appreciation and think of how to support Tescon to consolidate its place as a major force in the party “.

He has therefore advised Tescon members to take advantages of existing opportunities to develop themselves . He educated the students on the types of scholarships administered at the scholarship secretariat .

Mr Agyemang finally advised the students to take keen interest in the secretariat by seeking more information hereafter and more importantly , urged them to take their studies serious to obtain good grades so that they can be eligible and highly competitive in the consideration of applications for scholarships awards .

Present at the programme were many dignitaries and former Tescon members including Raphael Patrick Sarfo ,an Ashanti Regional Youth organiser hopeful .

The Tescon president of UEW K , Mr John Agyekum Kuffour , on behalf of the executive and Tescon , thanked the registrar for the assurance and the education .
