The CEO of Tanga Farms & Co. LTD, Alhaji Abubakari Dwira as part of his corporate social responsibility has donated a 12 seater KVIP toilet to the people of Dome in the Mampong Municipality.
The CEO stated that he decided to construct the toilet facility after experiencing a problem in Dome when he visited a friend. The 2013 Best Farmer said the project was to show his commitment to
the people of Dome.
Alhaji Dwira said that although he couldn’t complete it earlier, he was happy to have been able to do something for Dome community. Tanga Farms and Company Limited is into Poultry and Cattle Farming at Dome.
Hon. Thomas Appiah Kubi MCE of Mampong Municipal received the keys on behalf of the government and expressed appreciation to the renowned entrepreneur Alhaji Dwira for the project which will help solve part of the Assembly burden.
The MCE said Ghana First has given a contract to somebody to built a 14 seater Ultra Morden W/C toilet at Dome, He assured them that the project is still on paper just that the constructor has delayed.
On behalf of the community, the Assembly member of Dome – Oseikrom in the Mampong Municipality, Hon. Solomon Manful expressed appreciation to Alhaji Abubakari Dwira for his good work in the community
He appealed to the people to exercise the culture of maintenance to call for other projects. He also appealed to the government to come to their aid in terms of school blocks and water. He appealed to the government to help them repair their broken boreholes to enhance health in the community. Because they have only one source of water, “we have rivers around when its dry season we share with cattle which is not good for the health of my people “. Hon Manful said.
Nana Akoto Osei the Chief of Dome and his elders also graced the occasion.
