“Sacked Players Have Psychological Problems, That’s Why They Have Refused To Come For Training” – Sarfo Duku

Asante Kotoko rumored sacked players are going through psychological problems, that is why they have refused to turn up for training says Lawyer Sarfo Duku.

Lawyer Sarfo Duku, communications manager for the Kumasi Asante Kotoko believes these players have refused to attend regular training with the other players because of the pain the termination has brought to them.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko is rumored to terminate the contracts of seven players which they believe do not fit into the team anymore.

These reported players have since boycott training with the team.

Speaking in an interview on Midfield Action aired on Kessben FM/TV, Lawyer Sarfo Duku reiterated that the club have decided to terminate the contracts of seven players which will be for the best interest of the club.

“I am sure these sacked players are refusing to train with the team because of psychological reasons, the club has done nothing wrong to them and it is not the clubs’ decisions to prevent them from coming to train”

“Maybe they feel is over, if the club has told them of their decision, they think they won’t be part of the team the coach will select for playing, so they don’t see a reason why they should train with the team”

“Management believes it will be best if the contracts of some seven players be terminated, and all these seven players have decided not to join the main team while training but I don’t have to mention their names for now.”
