With reference to a press release dated 24th April, 2017 advertising the the commencement of military recruitment process, we urge the authorities to be fair to all eligible applicants without any favoritism, nepotism or tribalism – a common feature under the current regime.
We also want to remind government of the emphatic promise made by the NPP, prior to the 2016 election.
The National Youth Organizer of the NPP Sammy Awuku in September 2016 while addressing youth rallies in the Upper East Region, as it was widely reported in the media and published on 30th September 2016 by www.kasapafm.online.com, lambasted then NDC government on the recruitment process into the security services when the vouchers/ scratch cards were sold at GHC100 each.
He stated with authority *”…Nana Akufo Addo is saying Ghanaian youth who are loyal, dedicated and motivated by love for the country who want to serve Ghana, will not be required to pay GHC 100 for any forms as it recently happened with the police.”*
The National Youth Organizer who was conveying a special message from Candidate Nana Akufo-Addo to the youth of Ghana clarified the NPP’s position on the sale of Security recruitment forms as *”A Nana Akufo Addo Presidency will ensure that these application forms are not sold.”*
We want to remind government not to sell these scratch cards or anything relating to the recruitment process of the 2017 enlistment and beyond, to applicants/candidates. We shall follow the recruitment process with keen interest to ensure that government adhere to its promise to the unemployed youth.
God bless the Youth of Ghana
