The Nsuta Circuit Court Presided over by Her Honour Lydia Osei Marfo have remanded 3 suspected armed robbers into police custody for two weeks to help police in their investigations.

During prosecution, prosecutor Inspector Peter Konlan told the court that, on Monday intelligence led Police to Ohemaa Dida village along Jeduako road for the arrest of the three strong suspected armed robbers namely,
1. Ali Umaru age 20
2. Ali Mohamadu – 30
3. Umaru Abubakar – 35.

It is alleged that, they have being orchestrating the rampant armed robbery cases on Jeduako road. Just last week there were robbery cases on that stretch which most passengers and drivers lost their money.

He continued that , during the process of the arrest, the suspects inflicted cutlass wound on two police officers who were identified as,Cpl Shadrack Kwakye and Cpl Richard Otoku who received medical care at the Nsuta Poly Clinic and discharged day after.

Insp. Konlan Peter revealed that cutlasses and guns were retrieved from the suspects during the arrest. He pleaded the court to give the police sometime to further investigations.

Her Honour Lydia Osei Marfo after hearing the prosecution did not listen to the suspects and remanded them into police custody to help police for onward investigations into the matter and re- appear before the court on 29th July, 2019.
