NPP is currently a party of “Nanatocracy” – Solomon Anane

The Deputy Ashanti regional communications director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Anane has referred the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a party of “Nanatocracy”,literally a political party whose ideologies are centerd on Nana, the flagbearer.

He said this on Kessben TV during the popular Thursdays edition of “the Punch” hosted by lawyer Ohene Gyan. The program included lawyer William Kusi, a private legal practitioner and Lawyer Adom Appiah, the deputy Ashanti regional secretary of NPP.

Solomon Anane further alleged that the NPP party has collapsed due to its division between Nana Addo the presidential candidate and Allan Kyeremateng his former contender for the party’s presidential candidacy.

For this reason, there has being a subsequent creation of a ‘Grand Conspiracy’ to eliminate the so called Allan faction from the party, he alleged.
He added that, all decision affecting the party today is geard towards the whims and culprices of Nana Addo.

Solomon Anane wondered the reason for which Paul Afoko, the former chairman of the party, Kwabena Agyapong, the former general secretary and Sammy Crabb were all expelled from the party?

He said the last person perceived to be “Anti Nanatocracy” was the parliamentary candidate for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwaa who was attacked by the current chairman of the party for his opposing interest.

All these amount to the autocratic leadership description by President Mahama, he added.

Meanwhile, Lawyer Adom Appiah condemned these allegations by Solomon Anane stating it’s a mere fallacy and a propagandist calculated argument and should not be taken for serious.
