Late Kofi Middleton-Mends goes home

Veteran actor, Kofi Middleton-Mends was laid to rest on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

The funeral was well attended by colleagues in the creative arts industry at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

The veteran actor was well known for the ‘Key Soap Medo Fo Pa’ television commercial which was popular in the 90s, and until his death, he was also a lecturer at NAFTI and University of Ghana.

The late Middleton-Mends’ death occurred on Tuesday, August 16 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra at age 77 after battling with kidney disease. A wife and three children survived him.

Middleton-Mends starred in successful local and international productions spanning decades.

His most recent mainstream effort was in Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s Grey Dawn, where he played the role of an ailing politician whose tax issues meant trouble for his family.
