Asante Kotoko grossed GHS290,000 as gate proceeds from their outstanding league fixture against Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday Kessben FM have gathered.
The game which was originally scheduled to be played 3 weeks ago had to be postponed to a further date following Asante Kotoko’s bus accident on the Accra – Kumasi road after returning from a midweek league game.
The cheapest ticket for the game went for GHS10 while the highest went up to GHS100 at the VVIP.
Deductions by national sports authority and VAT will be made from the gross GHS290,000 and 10% deduction to the Ghana football association.
The highest gross raked from gate proceeds in a league match in the history of Ghana football has been when Hearts of Oak hosted Asante Kotoko last year in a league match on Monday. 38,000 ticket were sold and recorded a record gross of GHS450,000 from the gate.
