As the saying goes CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS, Kessben University in collaboration with Zoomlion Ghana Limited took the initiative of organizing a cleanup exercise in Asokore Mampong Municipal in the Ashanti Region.
The motive behind this exercise was to help improve or inculcate the habit of good sanitation to avoid any communicable disease which can results to death.
The clean up event which was held over the weekend saw massive participation of the youth in the area turning up to help in distilling choked gutters to allow free flow of drainage.
The campaign was attended by Mr. Osei Poku the registrar of Kessben University College, Mrs. Anita Pokuaa Gyamfi the zoomlion zonal manager for Asokore of subin Nhyiaeso as well as invited schools such as; Sakafiya Senior High School, Sawaba, Pakoso Senior High School in Pakoso, Nurul Amin Senior High School Dagomba Line, and Ghana Muslims Students Association all came in their numbers to support and make the programme a successful one.
At the end of the programme, Mr Osei Poku, the registrar of Kessben University College said ‘’it is very important to educate Ghanaians on how to maintain good sanitation and also urged them to involve in the cleanup exercise which is normally done on the 1st Saturday of every month as way of keeping our surroundings clean.
