Joachim Low publicly apologises for ball-fondling antics at Euro 2016

Joachim Low has apologised after several videos emerged which showed the Germany boss scratching his genitals and then sniffing his hand.

The 56-year-old was first caught in the act by cameras as Germany stormed to a 2-0 victory over Ukraine in their opening match at Euro 2016.

Low, who was filmed repeating his antics in training as his squad prepared for their Group C tie with Poland, has now responded to the videos which went viral on social media.

‘When you’re full of adrenalin, things happen that you don’t perceive,’ Low explained in a press conference on Wednesday.

‘I have also seen the images and I will try to conduct myself in a different way. I’m sorry for it.’

Lukas Podolski originally defended his manager in the aftermath of the match, saying ‘It’s not an issue.’

The former Arsenal forward added: About 80% of you here have at some point scratched your balls. Therefore, everything is good.’

Utterly bizarre stuff…surely, SURELY he won’t be doing it again any time soon!
