Grant Ayawaso West Wuogon Counstituents Permission To Go And Vote – Ben Akowuah Appeals

A member of the NPP National Communications Team, Benjamin Akowuah Acheampong has appealed to the business community to allow Constituents of Ayawaso who are employed in their organisations be granted the permission to go and exercise their civil right in the ongoing bye elections in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Counstituency.

He made these remarks this morning on TV Africa Breakfast Live Show during the newspaper review segment.

Mr Akowuah explained that, the Ayawaso Constituency is one of the elite constituency in the country with most residents been business executives and working in the formal sectors. Inasmuch as today is a working day, business leaders who should be mindful of the fact they cannot deny the constituents their democratic right to select their Member of Parliament as enshrined in the Constitution.

“I would like to make a passionate appeal to the business community and leaders of the formal sectors that they should grants their employees who are Constituents of Ayawaso West Wuogon the permission to go and vote from 2pm or 3pm should such request be made.” He appealed.

He also urged the people of Ayawaso West to conduct themselves well as they go through another peaceful, free and fair elections.

Today’s bye elections has been necessitated by the sudden death of the sitting Member of Parliament, Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko on 21st November, 2018 in USA.

Although it seems to be a safe seat of the ruling Government which have occupied the seat for the past 22 years, this bye elections is keenly contest by Mr Delali Kwasi Brempong representing the opposition National Democratic Party (NDC) and the mother of Hon Agyarko’s five children Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan representing the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as well us two other candidates representing the PPP and LPG.
