The Ashanti Regional Director of the Ghana Post Company, Mr. Johnson Asante , has said that the restructuring carried out by the company is yielding the desired results as the company is now the leader in the parcels or courier delivery service, both within and outside the country.

Mr. Asante, who is also the Ghana Post Cluster Head of Northern Sector, said most of the dilapidated structures of the company in the region which hitherto made skeptics to suggests that Ghana Post had collapsed, have been renovated.

The Regional Director mentioned Adum, KNUST, Konongo, Ashanti Mampong, Effiduase and Santasi as some of the company’s branches in the region which has been renovated and currently transacting brisk business.

He explained that management decided to operate the revamped Ghana Post as a private company in order to make profit, by divesting into wholesale and retail trading at the regional Ghana Post office.

Mr. Asante stated that the company’s guest house in the for instance, has been refurbished and opened to the general public as a way to generate income and appealed to government to assist Ghana post renovated it’s office across the region on and to also support the company will post vans of letters and parcels in the region
