Executive director of Exclusive Gender Inc. Mr Stephen Ofosu has hinted that the gender imbalances in most organizations in the country needs to be dealt with.
He stated that Ghana as a nation should embrace gender equality in all sectors of the economy in order to achieve the UN agenda 2030 of sustainable development.
He made these remarks at the official launch of Ghana Gender Equality Awards 2017 in Accra.
Mr Ofosu explain that the time has come for individuals and institutions that ensures best practices and also ensure that gender equality matters are observed in all sectors be awarded hence Ghana Gender Equality Awards 2017 will award and encourage such people and institutions who are helping champion such course.
The awards which is slated for October this year has 40 categories covering both institutions and individuals who have championed the gender goals.
Nominations to these awards will be activated in July and further details placed on www.ghanagenderequalityawards.com
