Police have arrested four suspects in relation to the assassination of the paramount chief of Seikwa traditional area in the Bono Ahafo Region.
Nana Kweku Gyimah Ankoana was gunned down at his residence by unknown assailants last week forcing the police to begin investigations.
It was not clear the motive for the assassination even though police conceded the late chief had his cars vandalised three months ago.
The District Police Commander of Seikwa ASP Christopher Tawiah told Citi News four suspects have been arrested after three days of investigation.
According to him, the four have been transferred to the Police HQ in Accra as investigations continue.
Due to the volatile security situation in Seikwa, ASP Tawiah did not mention the names of the suspects but insisted four suspects are in police custody.
He said Seikwa remains calm after the incident.
