Father’s Day celebration, started by the Catholic European in the Middle Ages in honour of St. Joseph (Nourisher of the Lord) is not only to honour fathers but also to celebrate their duties as role models and a source of influence in our society.
As we mark this day, I would like to appreciate all men who have stood their grounds in spite of all the odds, to ensure their children and society at large are positively affected.
All men are advised to take their paternal roles seriously and desist from running away from it. Fathers have a crucial role in ensuring that the attitudinal and moral change that society yearns for.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all who have deserted their duties as responsible fathers to go back and take responsibility for their children. With this responsibility comes a lot of blessings.
Happy Father’s Day to all fathers of the land. A special Father’s day wish to the number one Gentleman of the Land His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo and his Vice Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia. May God bless your administration.
