Failed NPP MP Hopeful begins 2020 NPP Primaries Campaign Barely 100 Days Into Akufo-Addo’s Gov’t

Within just 100days of coming into office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, a one time failed Parliamentary Candidate Hopeful for the NPP in the Akyem Oda Constituency Mr. Richard Asante Bediako has begun his campaign to oust NPP MP for the Akyem Oda Constituency and and a Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Hon. William Agyapong Quaittoo.

Mr. Asante Bediako disclosed his intention on Easter Monday when he met a section of the party supporters and basic schools going kids at Akyem Oda Old Town. The man who before he even becomes an MP walks with heavily built macho men as his body guards chastised the current MP accusing him of misusing and diverting funds meant for the development of the constituency.

He then called on all supporters of the NPP and of other political parties alike such as the NDC to go and pick NPP cards since that is the only document that will ensure their participation in the activities of the party which include voting.

Many have however expressed their disgust about Mr. Asante-Bediako’s style of politicking, describing it as detrimental to party cohesion, affront to nation building and self seeking.

This is coming at a time when Hon. William Agyapong Quaittoo has spent just 100days in his second term as the legislator of the constituency and barely a week after his swearing in as a deputy minister of Agriculture.
