Eastern Region: Ghana Medical Relief Organises 5 days medical outreach for Communities

Ghana Medical Relief, An NGO based in USA in collaboration with Ghanaian medical outreach has held a health screening exercise for the people of Asiakwa, kibi,Adukrom, Bunso Sagyimase, and it enclaves in the East Akim Municipality of the Eastern region of Ghana.

A native of Asiakwa Dr. Richard Owusu and Opp. Kwasi Boateng and the entire family members of ( YELLOW HOUSE) living in the USA organised 5 days medical outreach for the people living in the the said communities.

The services rended by the outreach Comprised of Dental, Pediatric Urology , Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
When speaking to the Kessbenfm.com Reporter TWENEBOAH KODUAH , Dr Richard Owusu said, The main reason for this service rendered was to honor their late beloved mother and sister Mad. Ernestine Sisi Bamfoa . The main aim is to render this Service to the poor and the vulnerable in the Community and help put money in their pockets and also save money for hospital bill and free medical screening will help them know their status as much as healthy life is concern .

According to Dr.Owusu, Ghana Medical relief is a non profit organization based in the USA in collaboration with Ghanaian medical team who usually renders free health care to the Ghanaian people. He also explained that, the poor must also benefit from the rich, and being rich does not mean you should always think about yourself and your family alone but extend hands to the needy at all time . Service to God and country he said.
Again, this Medical outreach is going to be done every year to help people in other vulnerable communities and also bridge the gap between rich and poor.

The Medical Superintendent at Asiakwa community Health center . Mrs Becky Bante Also expressed her gratitude to the family of yellow house (Asiakwa) , for such a great service . She said, she is happy because some of the services are very expensive especially some of the drugs but the group led by Dr Richard Owusu have managed to bring about 9 doctors from the USA in collaboration with the Ghanaian doctors as well to render such services for free.

Some of the patients also expressed their happiness of the free medical care and also thanked the the family of yellow house and the Medical team for such a tremendous effort to help people at all time.
