Exercise is a planned and structured activity meant to elevate the health being of people but the situation becomes dire when people lose their lives when they go through a process to maintain and improve their health.
A Nutritionist at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Mr Daniel Afrifa has revealed that the likelihood of one getting heart attack while exercising is greater than when the person is not exercising.
Mr Daniel Afrifa contributing to a topic on Kessben Media morning show, indicated that physical instructors are suppose to know the motive of the person using their facilities in order to determine the kind of exercise they will require at a particular point in time taking into account the medical history of the person.
Mr Daniel added that a person placed on exercise or aerobics should not be allowed to exercise alone and need to be frequently checked to prevent accidents at gymnasiums.
“One important guideline is that, we don’t engage in solitary exercise…. when doing an exercise your chances of heart attack is higher than someone who is not exercising”, Mr Daniel Afrifa said in an interview with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye, Kessben Media morning show.
Mr Daniel Afrifa revealed that there are a lot of risk and injuries inherent in exercise so it is prudent to have onlooker around while exercising the body to prevent untimely situation sometimes recorded at gymnasiums.
He was however quick to add that the benefits a person who exercise the body is enormous than the a person who doesn’t exercise the body.
