The Brong-Ahafo Regional women organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party Mrs Dorothy Ama Amponsah has praised the President for nominating six women in the region as Municipal or district chief executives in government.

The regional women organiser said this in the following statement:
I write to express my profoundest and warmest gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for nominating six women, if approved
by their respective MDAS would become MDCES in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana.
The following are the names of the six(6) and their respective MDAS;
1. Evelyn Kumi Richardson – Sunyani East
2. Atta-Kusiwaa Diana- Nkoranza Municipal
3.Mary Ameyaa – Dormaa west
4. oforiwaa Dwomoh -Tain
5. Mary Akonneh – Banda
6. Gifty Akorsa Authur –
This bold decision by President Akufo-Addo has affirmed our campaign promise to advocating for parity in governance.
I thank President Akufo-Addo for reposing such a trust and confidence in the women in our region.
