The Traditional Leadership of the Nkrankwanta Traditional Area over the week held a durbar of chiefs to officially welcome one of its Kinsmen who has brought honour to the area by winning the 2017 National Best Farmer Award.
The 50 year-old Mr Phillip Kweku Agyemang was adjudged the overall 2017 National Best Farmer and walked away with a mouth watering 100,000 dollar prize money.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, the Krontihene of Nkrankwanta Nana Kwasi Prah admonished the Ghanaian Youth to take farming serious to help turn their lives around.
The Obaahemaa of the Nkrankwanta traditional area Nana Bru Asamera lauded the humility of the award winner Mr Phillip Kweku Agyemang and called on the Youth to follow his exemplary foot steps to enable them reach the apex of what ever profession they find themselves.
Interacting later with Kessbenfm.com, The 2017 National best Farmer thanked all Stakeholders for the honour done him especially the Chiefs and Queenmothers of the Nkrankwanta tradtional area.
The National Best Farmer further adviced the Youth to venture into farming for it is the only profession that has no retirement as compared to government work. He added that it is high time the youth shun from always looking for quick money which often lands them in trouble.
