The Deputy Minister of Education Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum says Bosomtwi Constituency will soon see new Stem Academy starting from September 2020.
He indicated the STEM academy will feature pupil from class six and Junior High School at the first phase. It will later make room for Senior High School and Tertiary Education.
In an interview with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on Kessben Fm, he stated that, the academy will consist of Classroom blocks, a large assembly hall, Science laboratory and its laboratory equipment’s. The rest are Modern computer laboratory and many more.
He said, the academy is almost ready to start courses, adding that
Students will be examined on various projects.
Dr Adutwum continued that, qualified students will be recruited to start on September 2020.
He noted that, the school will help with the imbalance in our education system. “This platform will provide Ghana with inventors few years to come”
Bosomtwi will have 50% of the enrollment and the other 50% will come from all over Ghana. The academy has received some help from the Ministry of Education’s Getfund, Friends and love ones of the minister, and natives of the constituency.
He remarked that, Ministry of roads has started a road construction of 1.6km road to help facilitate movement to and out of the academy.
People have donated tables and chairs from outside the country and all of them are in position to aid in the success of the project. There are teachers and instructors ready to help students to develop their talents and potential.
