The flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akuffo Addo has shifted blames of the massive failure in the recent released West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination(WASSCE) results to the Mahama led administration.
Even though the results in these subjects were slightly better than last year’s, Nana Addo believes it is a reflection of diminishing standards of education.
About 1,576 candidates had some of their subjects results cancelled, while 598 candidates had their entire results cancelled.
Akuffo Addo made this statement during a speech delivery at a meeting with the Chief and people of Sefwi Anweaso Ogyeahoho in the western region. Nana Addo made an appeal to the people to vote him into power so as to implement measures thst woukd ensuer reforms in our educational system.
In the view of the Chief, the three year academic period is too short to guarantee success and produce forth a better and quality graduates needed to befit the standard of professional education system.
