Andre Ayew believes West Ham are capable of going to ‘another level’ this season following their acquisitions in the transfer market.
The Hammers could only finish 11th in the Premier League last season, but boss Slaven Bilic has moved to improve his first-team over the summer by bringing in Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.
Ghana international Ayew, who was a summer arrival at the London Stadium 12 months ago, believes the new recruits will certainly improve the team and help them kick-on to the next level. “It’s good and I’m happy to see these good players coming in,” Ayew told the club website. “I think we have a good squad, but now we have to do the job on the field and that’s another thing altogether.
“We already had good players in the squad and now we’ve added some more good players, so that’s really important for a club like West Ham to get to another level. Despite his confidence, Ayew knows the tough nature of the Premier League means the Hammers cannot afford to get too carried away.
“I feel like we are going to be capable of doing good things but we need to stay humble, work hard and don’t think we have done it before time,” the winger added.
