Ashanti Region: GES holds stakeholders sensitisation seminar on double track system

The Ashanti Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service has held a stakeholders briefing on the double track system which takes effect this academic

The Ministry of Education has directed all regional Education service offices to organize regional briefings on the double track system and the Ashanti Region is the first to do this

The Ashanti Regional Director of Education Mrs Mary Owusu Achiaw took participants from the various districts within the region including MMDCES, District coordinating Directors, District Directors of Education ,Parents , Civl Society Groups and the Media through why the need for this system of Education

She called on stakeholders to support the system since it’s a temporary programme to get every qualified child in the country an access to Senior High School Education

Ghana is not the first country to adopt this double track system of Education. Countries such as Kenya, China, Japan, USA, France and Costa Rica have all gone through this system

This system will Increase the contact hours between teachers and students where the teacher will have enough time for the students . And it will decongest our class rooms as well.
