The chief of Akim Akrosu in the Eastern Region says President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) deserve one more term to complete what he believes is the developmental projects implemented across the country.
Nana Ofori Agyemang said the NDC has done enough to warrant a second term after they successfully completed the electrification project in the area.
The chief debunked assertions that the NPP brought electricity to the area demanding that he should be shown any proof of such claims.
Nana Ofori Agyemang made these comments when President Mahama paid a courtesy call on him during the latter’s campaign in the region.
He said the area has seen stunted development under the erstwhile Kufuor administration, a situation that changed markedly when the NDC took over in 2009.
The chief indicated that the NDC took the area out darkness after many years of being without light, which therefore shows the government’s commitment to the people of the area.
He announced that a six class room block has been built with all the necessary amenities to make teaching and learning possible for the teachers and students.
Nana Agyemang declared that Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan has already affirmed President Mahama as the winner of the upcoming general elections and thus urged his people to vote massively for President Mahama.
President Mahama on his part expressed his delight at the acknowledgements of the chief and promised to do more to change the fortunes of the people if the party wins the December elections.
