Americans are buying less food and groceries to be able to save as much as possible amid economic hardship in the country, a study reveals. According to a new survey conducted by America's Research Group, more that %50 of Americans are skimping on food items and sit-down dining as a result of rising gasoline prices which may force America into "a retail shock," Reuters reports. The US Census Bureau has reported that some 47 million Americans, out of over 300 million, are living in poverty, and many are living paycheck to paycheck and can barely make ends meet.
